Utah Scientific Expands Industry’s Most
Comprehensive
Line of Router Control Panels
SALT LAKE CITY — April 16, 2007 — Utah
Scientific today announced the availability of several
additions to the industry’s most comprehensive
line of router control panels.
The UCP-1 Full Matrix Control Panel is a compact
1-RU panel that provides full X-Y control of any Utah
Scientific routing switcher. Ideal for use in places
where rack space is at a premium, the UCP-1 provides
a full set of functions and gives the user access
to all of the Utah Scientific router control system’s
power and flexibility.
The UCP-DT Desk-Top Control Panel is a fully programmable
multimode panel in a desktop package. Designed for
use on operator consoles or other areas where rack-mount
panels are not practical, the UCP-DT offers touchscreen
displays and relegendable switches to provide the
ultimate in flexible, simple operation.
SoftPanel-2 is Utah Scientific’s new software
package for designing and deploying GUI-based virtual
control panels across a network. The system offers
users the choice of using predesigned panels that
are replicas of Utah Scientific’s UCP-series
control panels or designing their own custom panels
using a toolkit of buttons and other controls.
SoftPanel-2 offers a complete set of tools for publishing
the panels with access control to limit the use of
each panel to specific users or group of users. Panel
creation is made easy by linking the SoftPanel-2 creation
module to the system’s U-Con configuration data,
allowing source and destination labels to be automatically
created without retyping.
