Utah Scientific Names Mike Jackson Southeast
Regional Sales Manager
May 1, 2007
Salt Lake City, Utah
Utah Scientific today announced the appointment
of Mike Jackson as Southeast regional sales manager
for the United States. Jackson joins Utah Scientific
having most recently served as regional sales manager
with JVC Professional Products, where he led the revitalization
of his Southeast territory and continually increased
annual sales in the region. He also established several
important non-traditional relationships in vertical
markets that will serve him well in his new position
at Utah Scientific.
“Mike is an industry veteran who understands
our customers’ needs,” said Tom Harmon,
president and CEO of Utah Scientific. “Because
he understands where our customers are coming from
and understands the products and technology, he will
be a tremendous resource, making sure the broadcasters
in his region get the systems that will serve them
now and well into the future.”
In addition to his position with JVC, Jackson earlier
held a sales management role at Accom and was a product
specialist for Pinnacle Systems. He got his start
in the broadcast industry as a CMX editor with Scripps
Howard, and he continued as a freelance video editor
and trainer for several years before moving into sales
management.
“It’s a pleasure to be associated with
a company as well-respected as Utah Scientific,”
said Jackson. “The company’s commitment
to customer service and history of developing and
delivering reliable technology are unparalleled.”
Jackson is an active member of the Atlanta Chapter
of the Society of Motion Picture and Television Engineers
(SMPTE). He officially began work with Utah Scientific
on April 9. He is based in Atlanta and reports directly
to Harmon.
